On the evening of March 15, 2022 Lillooet RCMP were advised of a man down in the 600 block of Main St, Lillooet.

Statlimx Tribal Police along with Lillooet RCMP officers attended the location and found the man suffering from serious injuries already being treated by BC Ambulance. The man was transported to Lillooet hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim’s next of kin have been notified, however his name is not being released at this time.

This file is now being investigated as a homicide, and "E" Division RCMP MCU has taken conduct of the investigation. They will remain in the area gathering evidence over the upcoming days.
