Wanted man located and arrested in Quesnel

A man was arrested in Quesnel on a Canada-wide warrant.

On March 8, 2022 around 11:32 a.m., Quesnel RCMP with the assistance of the RCMP North District Emergency Response Team, arrested Robert Hendrikus Hovestad, age 33 on a Canada-wide warrant. Hovestad was found hiding out in a residence on Allard Street. Hovestad initially refused to come out of the residence, but after a short interaction, he exited the residence and surrendered to police without incident.

Hovestad was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a Parole violation. The Quesnel RCMP had requested the public’s assistance in locating Hovestad on January 27, 2022.
