Police searching for missing horse

A 21-year-old riding horse has been reported missing from a property in Errington.

Oceanside RCMP received a report of a horse that went missing overnight on February 15, 2022 from a property in the 1900 block of Grafton Avenue, Errington. The horse is described as a mixed breed, lightweight, chestnut coloured riding horse and is 15.1 hands tall. The horse is named Sumac.

The Oceanside RCMP would appreciate any information about where Sumac may be so police may continue with the investigation and determine the circumstances as to how Sumac went missing , says Sergeant Shane Worth of the Oceanside RCMP.

If anyone saw anything suspicious in 1900 block of Grafton Avenue on the night of February 15, 2022, or knows where Sumac may be, please contact the Oceanside RCMP.
