1. 2022-800009 - Vandalism
On January 8, 2022, Squamish RCMP received a report of vandalism to Canada Post mail boxes in the 3800 block of Eaglewind Ave with possible theft of mail between Dec. 20, 2021 and Jan. 8, 2022. Canada Post was informed and police are encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activity seen within the time frame or any video of that area.
2. 2022-0222 - Impaired Driving
On January 9, 2022, Executive Inn Suites staff were quick to phone police with concern of an intoxicated driver leaving in their vehicle. Members were able to stop the vehicle and driver where the Member read the breath demand and the driver blew a fail. The driver was also prohibited from driving province wide. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, Members served the driver with a 90 day immediate roadside driving prohibition and impounded the vehicle for 30 days. Members arrested the driver and was later released with a court date appearance.
3. 2022-251, 2022-254, 2022-257 - Break and Enter
On January 10, 2022, Squamish RCMP received several reports of Break and Enters with items stolen in the 38000 block of Cleveland Ave, 40000 block of Tantalus Rd and the 1900 block of Maple Drive. If there are any citizens who have any information regarding these addresses, please report using the links below.
4. 2022-270 - Impaired
Squamish RCMP were informed from a citizen assisting a driver attempting to get his vehicle out of a ditch. The citizen suspected the driver was impaired and phoned the police. With the citizen's quick action to do so, the police were able to locate the driver in his vehicle where a breath demand was given to the driver where multiple opportunities were given to provide a breath sample. The driver was given a 90 day Refusal and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
