Update: Highway 99 reopened near Murrin Park after six car accident

Highway 99 is now fully reopened after a six car. accident near Murrin Provincial Park.

Since January 1, 2022, Squamish RCMP have responded to 18 car accidents on Highway 99 in relation to winter driving.

We appeal to drivers to increase their time and distance between other cars, leave earlier if possible to give yourself more time, know abilities and limitations of your driving and your vehicle, respect the weather and road conditions, and use winter grade tires, says Corporal Angela Kermer of the Squamish RCMP.
