Police v Fire Charity Hockey Game Shoots for Support for Lytton
Ashcroft, This Is What We Do
2021-12-17 11:11 PST
Ashcroft RCMP and Fire Department will be dropping the puck on a charity hockey game in support of Lytton Fire Department to help rebuild the service to their community.
On January 22nd, 2022, the teams will face-off in their annual family-friendly head-to-head charity ‘Guns and Hoses’ hockey match. The event will take place at Drylands Arena in Ashcroft and will include a puck toss, split-prize draw, and raffle to raise funds that will help Lytton Fire Service rebuild after their entire station was lost in the devastating fire.
The teams are raring to go up against each other this year,
said Cst. Richard Wright, Ashcroft RCMP and head coach of the ‘Guns’ team. Especially as we are engaging the community in support of rebuilding Lytton, which is such a worthy cause.
The Ashcroft Firefighter Association is also accepting donations on behalf of Lytton Fire Service. Anyone wishing to donate, maybe as a seasonal gift to a loved one, can do so via Etransfer to ashcroftfirefightersassoc@gmail.com.
