File # 2021-2225
On Friday, December 10, 2021, Mackenzie RCMP saw a vehicle make a short stop at a residence in the community. Police are familiar with the residence and the officer stopped the vehicle once it left the residence.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was arrested and evidence gathered led police to seek and obtain a search warrant for a house in the 90 Block of Centennial Drive.
Because of the search warrant, police seized a loaded SKS rifle, three (3) additional long guns, and suspected psilocybin, cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The 38-year-old man was released pending a court date in 2022. The man could face firearms and drug related charges,
said Cpl. Calvin Aird, Mackenzie RCMP. The investigation is ongoing.
