
Burning vehicle report leads to recovery of stolen property

On November 5, 2021 at just before 2pm, Fort St John RCMP received a report of vehicle fire near 281 Rd/ Jensen Ave, Charlie Lake, B.C.. Frontline police officers as well as the Fort St John Serious Crimes Unit and the Peace Liard Police Dog Services attended.
Upon arrival they located a burning SUV believed to be intentionally started on fire.
Further investigation in the area led police to locate a travel trailer which was reported stolen on October 15th, from Fort St John. Police also located a Dodge pickup reported stolen from the Okanagan on March 31.
Police were able to return the trailer to the registered owner and are attempting to do the same with the pickup truck.
