The victim, a 35 year old Indigenous male had been staying on the streets and received a serious life threatening gash to his arm which required him to be transported to hospital. He was treated for his wounds and is in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing and it is believed to be an isolated incident, said Cst Maury Tyre. At this point in time, we are looking to talk to any eyewitnesses that have not identified themselves to police.
