1. 2021-7320 et al. – Halloween Related Calls
On October 31, 2021, during Halloween night, Squamish RCMP both responded to and did proactive patrols for people lighting off fireworks contrary to a local bylaw, and seized fireworks in many cases. During the course of the evening, police received six fire work calls. Police also received two mischief calls involving kids knocking on doors and throwing eggs.

2. 2021-7322 - Impaired Driving
On October 31, 2021, a driver almost hit a Squamish RCMP member on patrol. Through investigation, the driver was determined to be impaired by drug. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, the member issued the driver a 24 hour driving prohibition, towed their car, and issued them a violation ticket for crossing a solid line.

3. 2021-7282 – Mischief
On October 30, 2021, sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., Squamish RCMP received a complaint of mischief after a car owner had a tire slashed while parked at the intersection of Squamish Valley Road and the Shovelnose Creek entrance. This investigation remains open.

4. 2021-7265 – Hit and Run
On October 29, 2021, at about 4:00 p.m., Squamish RCMP started investigating a report of hit and run that happened a commercial parking lot at 39210 Discovery Way, the Wal-Mart lot. After the accident happened, the offending driver drove away before exchanging his information with the other driver. The other driver’s car is a 2015 grey Chevrolet four door Cruze should any potential witnesses recall seeing the accident happen.
