Highway 99 fully reopens after accident

Highway 99 has reopened to north and southbound traffic after a serious accident caused closure for about five hours today. Police and first responder partners investigated, transported two injured people to hospital, and cleared the highway of debris to make safe for drivers before reopening.

Police determined one of the cars was stolen. The driver of the stolen car sustained serious and potentially critical injuries. Police do not know the extent of injuries of the other driver, and Squamish RCMP continue their investigation.
