On Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 8:07 am, Mackenzie RCMP responded to a report of a man walking in the community carrying a firearm.

Police immediately flooded the area looking for the suspect. Out of an abundance of caution and the safety of the people in Mackenzie, two area schools, the Recreation Centre and the mall have all been placed on lockdown.

If you see this individual, call 9-1-1- immediately and under no circumstances should you approach this person said Cpl Madonna Saunderson, BC RCMP Communications.
