Single vehicle roll over claims the life of a Quesnel man

A Quesnel man was killed when he failed to negotiate a corner and his vehicle rolled down an embankment.

On October 18, 2021, at 2:45 p.m., the Quesnel RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover that occurred approximately five kilometers west on the Quesnel Hixon Road.

The truck was travelling east on Quesnel Hixon Road and entered the south ditch. The truck then drove approximately 100 meters down an embankment, struck a tree, and rolled over. The driver was the lone occupant and was declared deceased at the scene.

Weather and road conditions were not a factor in the collision and the police are continuing their investigation. The name of the driver is not being released.
