1. 2021-6897 - Theft of Vehicle
Squamish RCMP investigated a report of theft of vehicle that happened between the mornings of October 8-10, 2021. Thieves gained access into and stole a grey Audi Q3 that was parked near Cheakamus Way and Tantalus Rd.

2. 2021-6875 – Car Accident on Highway 99
On October 8, 2021, Squamish RCMP received multiple reports of a two car collision on Highway 99 near Furry Creek. The investigation revealed one driver was travelling southbound on the highway and overtook a second car as the driving lanes changed from two to one. As a result, the first, overtaking car hit the left quarter panel of the second car, and both cars rolled on their sides off road. Emergency Health Services took both drivers to hospital for medical attention involving minor injuries.

3. 2021-6855 – Impaired Driving Causing Injury
On September 7, 2021, police responded to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in the area of Tantalus Rd. and Cheakamus Way. A driver hit a pedestrian, causing numerous injuries that needed medical attention from hospital. The investigation revealed the driver was impaired by liquor, and police arrested the driver for impaired driving and impaired driving causing bodily harm. The male provided breath samples which showed he was over three times the legal limit to drive.  Police released him with driving prohibitions under the Motor Vehicle Act, and a future court appearance under the Criminal Code for impaired driving related offences.

4. 2021-6827 – Impaired Driving and Flight From Police
On October 5, 2021, Squamish RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious driver who was revving his engine and running stop signs downtown. Police tried to pull over the driver who blatantly ignored them. Once police stopped the driver, they arrested him for flight from police and impaired driving. The man failed roadside tests for impaired driving, and police released him with driving prohibitions under the Motor Vehicle Act and a future court date for flight from police and dangerous operation under the Criminal Code.
