Man arrested for aggravated assault

A Revelstoke man has been arrested after he allegedly shot two people with a pellet gun in Sicamous last month.

Sicamous RCMP began an investigation of an assault with a weapon which occurred at a residence in the 400-block of Main St in Sicamous in the early morning of July 28.

A 24- year old woman and a 26-year old man, who are both residents of Revelstoke were allegedly assaulted in the residence by being shot with a pellet gun several times.

Both victims were treated at hospital and released.

On August 8, Revelstoke RCMP officers arrested a 43-year-old male Revelstoke resident, in relation to the incident. He was released on an Undertaking to attend court in Salmon Arm with a first appearance of September 14. Both victims were known to the suspect.

Sgt. Murray McNeil states, "The Sicamous RCMP continue to investigate the matter with the assistance of the Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, and South East District RCMP."
