1. 2021-5335 – Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On August 9, 2021, Squamish RCMP responded to a report of impaired driving near Highway 99 and Brohm Lake entrance. The driver had gone off road down an embankment and hit some rocks but was not injured. Showing signs of impairment, the investigator had the driver provide breath samples of which results were fail. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, the investigator issued the driver a 24 hour driving prohibition, a 90 day driving prohibition, and impounded her car for 30 days.

2. 2021-5112 – Catalytic Converter Theft
On August 8, 2021, Squamish RCMP investigated a report of catalytic converter theft that happened at the Garibaldi Provincial Park lot. The owner went for a hike and upon return the converter to their Ford Escape car had been stolen.

3. 2021-5173 – Mischief
On August 5, 2021 at about 1:00 pm, Squamish RCMP responded to a report of mischief in the downtown area as a man was smashing planter boxes with a skateboard. Investigators located and arrested the man who was doing the damage, and released him with documents for a future court date.

4. 2021-5117 – Theft from Car
On August 3, 2021, sometime between 12:00 pm and 8:30 pm, Squamish RCMP investigated a report of theft that happened at Squamish Valley Forest Service Rd. and Squamish Valley Rd. Thieves broke a window to gain access to a car and take two gold necklaces and a pair of sunglasses.
