Fort St John RCMP viewed the recording that was posted to the public site and immediately recognized the person in the video from a previous unrelated matter.

This is a disturbing discovery as it appears the animal was intentionally made to suffer, said Cpl Madonna Saunderson, spokesperson for the BC RCMP.

The RCMP have arrested a person in connection with this crime and have recovered the remains of the animal. The suspect has been released on conditions as the investigation continues.

If you have any information about this, and have not yet spoken to the police, you are asked to call the Fort St John RCMP at (250) 787-8140 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-8477.
