1. 2021-800059 – Catalytic Converter Theft
On July 12, 2021, RCMP Squamish received an Online Crime Report regarding a theft of catalytic converter. The complainant parked their car in a pullout near Culliton Creek, and upon returning, started the ignition and the car sounded different. The complainant took the car to a repair shop and mechanic informed the catalytic converter had been removed.

2. 2021-4453/2021-4456 – Marine Calls
On July 10, 2021, Squamish RCMP received two separate calls for assistance from boaters and divers in Howe Sound. RCMP worked with the Joint Rescue Coordination Center, the Canadian Coast Guard, the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, and Department of Fisheries and Oceans to ensure boaters and divers were safe on the water.

3. 2021-4415 – Theft from Business
On July 9, 2021, a male stole $300 of clothing from a local merchant in the Garibaldi Village Mall. Through investigation, police identified the male, arrested him, and released him on documents with a future court date.

4. 2021-800054/2021-4335 – Recovered Stolen Car and Bike Theft
On July 6, 2021, a car owner reported their 2002 black Mitsubishi Delica stolen from a local storage facility. The car was located on the same day and processed by RCMP Forensic Identification Services for evidence. Thieves stole from the car a 2012 black Santa Cruz Superlight 29 full suspension mountain bike with front and rear derailleur, bright green handlebars with turquoise grips, and flat pedals, and the bike remains outstanding.
