1. 2021-3709 – Commercial Break and Enter
On June 17, 2021, Squamish RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at a business in the 40000 block Glenalder Pl. The persons involved gained access to the business by smashing a window, and the store representative said on first report nothing was stolen. This file remains under investigation.

2. 2021- Bike Thefts
Squamish RCMP investigated eight bike thefts this past week. Thefts ranged in types of locations from building storage lockers to entering private property to gain access to bikes. The common themes for accessing the bikes were cutting or burning locks, and owners leaving bikes insecure.

3. 2021- Thefts From Autos
Squamish RCMP investigated a series of thefts from autos this past week, happening from various areas. Thieves typically broke into cars by breaking windows or by accessing through unlocked doors. The most common times for these thefts were overnight. Thieves stole items such as clothing, a catalytic converter, a bike rack, a paddle board, cash, wallets, keys, and other sports equipment. Police remind drivers to secure their cars and remove property to prevent thefts. Police also encourage victims to report all thefts, even if they appear small by nature.

4. 2021-3626 et al – Pass School Bus
With the end of the school year approaching Squamish RCMP wish to remind drivers about student pedestrian and bicycle safety. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, when school busses are stopped and have red stop equipment illuminated, vehicles travelling in the same and opposite direction need to stop until the bus driver removes the red stop equipment.

Anyone with any information regarding the above files are asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the website www.solvecrime.ca
