Port Alberni RCMP investigating stabbing incident

On June 21st, 2021 at 1:36 pm Port Alberni RCMP were called to assist BC Ambulance to a report that a male had been stabbed at a location on 4th Avenue in Port Alberni.
The location is the site of multiple recreational trailers near the Wintergreen Apartments.
Two males with significant injuries were located at the site, BC Ambulance and Port Alberni Fire Department were staged to respond as soon as the area was cleared. Both males were transported to hospital for treatment and are identified. The condition of the males is unknown at this time.
"The information as of this time supports that there is no risk posed to the community" said Inspector Eric Rochette, Officer in Charge of the Port Alberni RCMP Detachment.
The investigation is ongoing with neighbourhood inquiries, witness statements and video being sought.
