Two men charged in connection with assault and break in from December 2020

BC Prosecution Services have approved charges in connection with an assault on an elderly woman after two suspects broke into her home in the early hours of Friday, December 18 2020.

Eugene Tom, 45-years old has been charged with the following: 

• Theft of Motor Vehicle 333.1(1) CC, 
• Break and Enter & Commit theft 348(1)(b) CC,
• Break and Enter & Commit assault 348(1)(b) CC
• Possession of Stolen Property under $5000 355(b) CC

Clinton Brown, 44-years-old, has been charged with the following:

• Theft of Motor Vehicle 333.1(1) CC, 
• Break and Enter & Commit theft 348(1)(b) CC,
• Break and Enter & Commit assault 348(1)(b) CC

Tom has been remanded in custody and will appear in court on Tuesday, March 2 2021 while Brown has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 30 2021.
