The BC RCMP has notified the Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia (IIO BC) of an incident in Vanderhoof that resulted in injury to man.
On February 13, just before 10:30 a.m., frontline officers from the Vanderhoof RCMP were called to a well-being check at a residence in the 1000-block of Kenny Road, Vanderhoof. When officers arrived they located two women and a man inside. The man, was bound by court ordered conditions not to be in contact with the women, and was subsequently arrested. IIO BC is investigating to determine whether police actions are linked to the man’s injuries. As the matter is now under investigation by the IIO BC, no further information will be released by police.
