
Traffic stop leads to dug and cash seizure

On Monday, February 1, 2021, the Fort St. James RCMP conducted a traffic stop of a suspected drug trafficker on the Tachie Rd, north of Fort St. James. The suspect, who was also prohibited from driving, was arrested without incident.
During the search of the suspect and vehicle, approximately 70 grams of illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, a significant amount of cash and weapons were located and seized.
The investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to BC Prosecution Services for charge assessment. Fort St. James Detachment is continuing with its commitment to the reduction of illicit drug use and supply through targeted enforcement and education.
