Update: Mounties return the found urn to the owner

The RCMP returned an urn found near a bus stop in November 2020 to the owner.

After reading an article RCMP seeking assistance to return an urn in the media a reader immediately recognized the urn containing the ashes of a pet and contacted the owner.

On January 11, 2021, police were pleased to return the urn to its custodian.

A pleasant conclusion, says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD. Identifying the owner of the urn underlines the significance of the partnership between police and media in the dissemination information to the public.
