The Terrace RCMP general duty members and support staff participated in creating quilt squares to show their support to the truth and reconciliation process.

Cst Yance organized the quilt square project to allow officers, as well as RCMP support staff to create a physical representation of the ongoing commitment the RCMP and its members have to the truth and reconciliation process with First Nations communities.

A number of these quilt squares were created by the Terrace RCMP which will be taken to North Vancouver. There the Indian Residential School Survivors Society will use the squares along with other squares from all over the province, to create a large quilt.

Many thanks to Susie Mikalishen for donating the applique for the quilt squares, to Linda Robinson for sewing the squares, and to Cst Yance for working on this project.
