Canada Post community mailboxes on Findlay Lake Road were damaged overnight and suspects gained access to the shared parcel boxes.

On September 16, 2021, police received a report that the shared parcel boxes had been torched in such a way that the locks were removed and access was gained. It is unknown if any parcels were stolen from the boxes.

RCMP are investigating but at this time have no suspects.

Police are reminding the public to be aware of their surroundings and take notice of suspicious people who may be tampering with community mailboxes and report it to police. Also be mindful of checking your mailbox regularly so there is nothing left for would-be thieves.
