On September 7, 2021, at 2:15 a.m., the Sooke RCMP were called to assist the BC Ambulance Service with a single motor vehicle collision in the 5800 Block of Sooke Road.

On arrival, First Responders discovered five occupants of the vehicle, each with serious injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a tree. In the interest of the privacy of the persons and families involved, no further details are being released at this time.

Sooke Road was closed for the majority of the morning as police examined the scene of the collision. Sooke RCMP continue to investigate in an attempt to understand the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing to the public for any witnesses or dash camera footage along Sooke Road, from Woodlands Road in Sooke, to Veterans Memorial Parkway in Langford, between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. on September 7, 2021 that capture a black 2 door sedan travelling Westbound.

Anyone with information or dash camera footage that may have captured the vehicle involved are asked to please call the Sooke RCMP detachment at 250-642-5241.
