1. 2021-4019 - Break and Enter at Parks Building Behind Brennan Park Recreation Centre
On June 27, 2021, some time between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., the change rooms at the Brennan Park soccer field were broken into. Culprits gained access by breaking a door off its hinges, did not steal anything, but used the shower facilities. The Integrated Forensic Identification Section examined the scene, and this file remains under investigation.

2. 2021-3979 – Found Property
On June 26, 2021, a local resident reported finding a kayak and shoes that were in the water near Spit Rd. in Squamish. Police determined the owner was safe and sound, had left the kayak earlier when conditions had become unsafe, and had since been trying to locate the kayak.

3. 2021-3963 – Break, Enter, and Theft
On June 26, 2021 at about 4:00 a.m., Squamish RCMP responded to a report of break and enter in progress in the 1500 block Pemberton Ave. On arrival, investigators located the male suspect who had stolen some copper wire. Police arrested the male, and released him with a number of conditions and a future court date.

4. 2021-3928 - Stolen Vehicle
On June 25, 2021, at about 3:15 a.m., Squamish RCMP responded to a report of a stolen grey Ford Raptor pick up that was parked in the 2000 block Maple Dr. Responding investigators contained the area, notified local detachments, and did extensive patrols, however, the stolen vehicle was not located.

5. 2021-3893 Attempt Theft of Auto
On June 23, 2021, at about 8:40 p.m., Squamish RCMP investigated an attempt auto theft when a local resident saw a man trying to steal a 1994 Ford F350 parked in the 3800 block Progress Way. The resident spooked the man who rode away on a mountain bike. Investigators seized evidence left at the scene and will have it examined by the Forensic Identification Section.
