On Friday,June 18, 2021 at 5:50 pm, the Kitimat RCMP received a report of a tenancy dispute at a residence. The complainant had been renting a room from the subject of complaint for the past 4 days. Both parties were requested to resolve the dispute through the B.C. Residential Tenancy Branch as the matter was civil. Officers kept the peace until the parties separated.

On Saturday, June 19, at 6:00 pm, officers with the Kitimat RCMP conducted a proactive patrol in the area of Giant Spruce and lower dyke area. While out in the area police checked 25 people for fishing licenses. Four people were cautioned for consuming liquor in public and asked to dump their liquor. One person was cautioned for invalid decal on their vehicle. One man was cautioned for consuming liquor while using an ATV. One female had cannabis seized under the Cannabis Control and Licensing Act.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 8:00 pm, the Kitimat RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver on Saunder Haul Rd. The complainant stated a pick-up truck was traveling 100 km/hr, people were hanging out of the window and beer cans were being thrown from the vehicle. An officer responded, located the vehicle and conducted a vehicle stop. The officer formed suspicion that the driver had consumed alcohol and read an Approved Screening Device demand. The driver blew a warn. The driver was issued a 3-day driving prohibition and their vehicle was impounded for 3 days.

On Monday, June 21, 2021 at 6:12 pm, the Kitimat RCMP received a driving complaint. The caller stated a motorcycle passed her on a double solid line on Haisla Blvd while speeding excessively. An officer conducted patrols which were negative. The license plate was not obtained.

On Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 4:20 pm, the Kitimat RCMP responded to a missing person complaint. The complainant advised that they last saw the missing person mid-morning. The Kitimat RCMP conducted patrols and located the missing person walking on a street. The complainant was updated.

On Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 3:00 pm, the Kitimat RCMP responded to a complaint of a man sleeping on the ground behind a business at Nechako Centre. An officer attended however upon arrival staff at business advised that the man had just walked away. Patrols were negative.
