Dossier nº 2021-2621

On June 15, 2021, Sooke RCMP frontline officers engaged in a pro-active drug investigation that led to a witnessed drug transaction in the area of Evergreen Mall on Sooke Road. Following the transaction, one male was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

A search of the male led to the seizure of a substantial amount of drugs which included cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, and prescription pills destined for illegal re-sale. Over $6000 in currency was seized as well as a large machete and pepper spray.

This is the second significant drug / weapon seizure made in the last month as the Sooke RCMP continue their commitment to keeping our communities safe. Continuing to monitor and target individuals in our community selling drugs remains a top priority says Sooke RCMP Commander Staff Sergeant Brett Sinden.

Anyone with information on drug trafficking in Sooke is asked to call the Sooke RCMP or, if you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
