Traffic stop leads to drug seizure

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at approximately 2:30 PM, a Prince Rupert RCMP Officer on patrol in the 400 block of 7th Avenue West conducted a traffic stop with a 32 year old male who was prohibited from driving.

The traffic stop lead Police to a nearby RV trailer where a 24 year old female was arrested on outstanding warrants. Police obtained a Search Warrant for the vehicle and trailer.

Through investigation Police seized a significant quantity of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, numerous pills, and a large sum of Canadian currency. Several edged weapons were also located.

The investigation is ongoing and Prince Rupert RCMP will be forwarding the file to Crown Counsel for review.
