On January 13, 2021 RCM Search and Rescue recovered a kayak believed to belong to missing Langford resident Timothy Ross.

The kayak was located in the ocean near McMillan Road which is close to the area where it is believed that Timothy Ross launched his Kayak on January 10, 2021. The Ground Search and Rescue efforts are continuing and re-focussed based on this location.

I want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of those who have helped and volunteered their time on this investigation said Sergeant Kevin Shaw, Operations NCO of the Sooke RCMP Detachment It is directly because of their vigilance that the kayak was located and recovered

The Sooke RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of Timothy Ross, and again are appealing to anyone with information, or were on the water or near the coastline between Sooke and Jordan River on January 10th to please call their office at 250-642-5241.
