Traffic stop leads to seizure of firearms and drugs

Frontline officers in Sooke were busy conducting proactive patrols and traffic stops this past week and one of these stops resulted in the seizure of a firearm, imitation firearms and drugs.

At 11:25p.m. on January 6, 2021 Sooke front line members stopped a vehicle in East Sooke and initiated an impaired investigation. Subsequently, two men and two women were taken into police custody. 
 

 

Subsequent to a vehicle search officers discovered a fire arm and two replica firearms along with a quantity of illicit drugs. Police also seized plates from the un insured vehicle and towed it from the scene.
