North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP investigating double homicide in Crofton

The North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP is investigating after two people were discovered deceased in a residence in Crofton B.C.

Just after midnight on October 23, 2021, North Cowichan Duncan RCMP frontline officers were called to a report of a suspicious circumstance at a house in the 8600 block of Crofton Road. When officers arrived they located two deceased persons in the residence, with another man who was quickly arrested without incident.  This man was transported to the North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP detachment, where he currently remains in custody.

While the investigation is in the preliminary stages, police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no on-going risk to the general public.

The Forensic Identification Section out of Nanaimo has been contacted for assistance. The BC Coroners Service is also conducting a concurrent fact-finding investigation into these unexpected deaths. Due to the privacy of the deceased's, under the Coroners Act, their names will not be released.
