Break and Enter to BMO earlier this morning, suspect arrested

On Friday, June 4th 2021 at 05:58 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to an alarm call at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) located on Alder Avenue in 100 Mile House BC. Upon arrival, the officer observed a glass break into the main building of the bank.
After subsequently clearing the building and observing several doors, cabinets and desk drawers open, the officer was advised of a complaint near the Donex Pharmacy on Birth Avenue. Upon arrival there, a 27 year old local Caucasian male was located on the ground with drug paraphernalia in his possession and visible to the officer.
This man has been previously arrested for similar events in the area. Subsequent to arrest for possession of a controlled substance, the officer searched the backpack of the suspect and located a stamp belonging to BMO as well as several BMO envelopes. This man was then arrested for the break and enter to BMO and possession of stolen property.
The 100 Mile House RCMP wish to thank the witnesses involved in this investigation. 100 Mile House RCMP remind the public that if it is suspicious or appears out of the ordinary to you, it would be the same for us as well. This was the case with the witness who saw this man behind Donex Pharmacy. Thank you for making your community safer.
The investigation is ongoing and the man is still currently in custody. He is well known to local RCMP.
