On Saturday, April 17,th 2021 in the evening hours, North District Highway Patrol (100 Mile RCMP), 100 Mile House RCMP, Cariboo Regional Crime Reduction Unit members and BC Conservation Officers participated in a joint force operation (JFO) traffic initiative in the 100 Mile House RCMP Detachment area. Our area intelligence analysts out of Williams Lake RCMP Regional office were also involved to create a more focused approach on certain areas and offenders. This particular event was organized by our local BC Highway Patrol traffic enforcement unit.

A large number of vehicles, including several occupied by prolific offenders in the local area, were stopped and investigations occurred. Amongst the offences located were: excessive speed, impaired driving, outstanding warrants, several violation tickets (including fish and wildlife violations).

These JFO events have been held over the past year several times with great success, and they will continue. Several of the investigations which started as a result of this JFO are ongoing.
