North Cowichan Duncan ask public for assistance after several unique masks stolen

The North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP want the public’s assistance in recovering some very unique masks that were stolen from a Chemainus business on the evening of April 4th.

The unknown suspect(s) smashed the front glass of the business and was able to steal 17 authentic Venetian masks said Corporal Chris Manseau, Vancouver Island RCMP media relations officer These masks are highly unique steampunk masks, some with working LED lights and would be easily identifiable

The masks are individually made, highly detailed, and are considered works of art. The list of Stolen Masks includes;
3 x Swan with side feathers, 1 x Steam Punk Columbina, 1 x Steampunk Butterfly, 2 x Steampunk Cat , 1 x Steampunk Full Face Pirate, 1 x Steampunk devil, 1 x Steampunk Mad Max, 1 x Steampunk Phantom, 2 x Steampunk full Face

Investigators are seeking anyone who may have been a witness, or have information to contact the North Cowichan Duncan RCMP Detachment at 250-748-5522.
