Barriere man found guilty and sentenced in relation to May 2020 incident

42-year-old Johnny Matthew Williams, of Barriere BC, was found guilty in Kamloops Provincial Court on March 24, 2021 in relation to charges of wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and breach of an Undertaking.

The convictions stem from an incident that occurred on May 12, 2020 in Barriere.

Williams was sentenced to one year of probation with a number of conditions. He was also ordered to pay a Victim Surcharge of $100.
