On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Northern Rockies RCMP arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a fire appears to have been deliberately set at Radar Road Transportation in Fort Nelson BC.

On Saturday, June 8, 2019, police discovered several pieces of equipment on fire in parking lot of Radar Road Transportation. The Northern Rockies Fire Department was notified that the flames were extinguished.

The damage to the equipment was estimated to be close to one million dollars. With the assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, investigators were able to gather sufficient evidence to make an arrest.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges of Arson and Break and Enter for 26 year old Fort Nelson business owner, Devan Boynton.

After a court appearance, Devon Boynton was released from custody on strict conditions and is scheduled to return to court in April 2021.
