Charges now laid in connection to 2020 break-in

Criminal charges have now been approved by the BC Prosecution Service in relation to an alleged break and enter within the District of Barriere in September 2020.

On September 17, 2020 Barriere RCMP entered into a criminal investigation into a break and enter to the secure compound of a local towing company.

The full findings of the investigation conducted by the Barriere RCMP was provided to the BC Prosecution Service who has approved criminal charges against 33-year-old Joshua Foucault of Barriere. Foucault has now been formally charged with break and enter with intent to commit an offence, breach of a Probation Order, drive while disqualified under the Criminal Code.

Foucault’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 12, 2021 in Kamloops Provincial Court.
