A decoration that was recently at a COVID friendly Frightful Frolics Halloween event, hosted by the District of Hudson’s Hope on October 30th, 2020 turned into a show stopper.

The 126-pound pumpkin was donated by Legacy Village Market, in Hudson’s Hope and was carved by the Hudson’s Hope RCMP Public Servant Employee Linda Cantlon, into an amazing RCMP theme. The pumpkin was voted as best carved at the event.

The offer to use the pumpkin was given to the detachment, and the members were quick to decide they were not artistic enough to take on the task, so Linda stepped up and did an absolutely fantastic job, stated Detachment Commander, Cpl Rob Gardner.

The Frightful Frolics event, was set up and ran by the District of Hudson’s Hope, The Hudson’s Hope RCMP, Hudson’s Hope Volunteer Fire Department, Senior students from Hudson’s Hope Elementary and Secondary School , Double H Saddle club, a local union and volunteers.

Another pumpkin, that was carved with a police theme, was dropped off at the RCMP detachment by a local resident to assist the detachment to get into the Halloween spirit.
