Ashcroft RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in an armed robbery investigation

The Ashcroft RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance for information after an early morning armed robbery along Highway 97C the morning of Friday October 30, 2020.
Police say that around 2:30 am on October 30th the were called to a report of a robbery at the brake check on Hwy 97C in Ashcroft.
A male victim, driving a blue 1998 Dodge Dakota, told police that a large truck almost ran him off the road. When the man stopped at the brake check at the top of the Highway 97C hill, the suspect vehicle allegedly turned around and return to where he had stopped. The suspect vehicle had a large light bar that blinded the man and two unidentified males exited the truck with a long firearm. The victim was allegedly ordered out of his vehicle at gunpoint and told to lie face down on the ground. The suspect males then stole a series of items from the man’s car, including a large duffle bag from the back seat before they left the scene.
Ashcroft RCMP are investigating and currently need any information that could assist with their investigation.
