File # 2020-219

The 28’ Aluminum boat, Williston Ranger, has been located, however it has unfortunately been dismantled. The vessel was reported stolen from a locked fenced compound located on Dinosaur Lake Road, in Hudson’s Hope, on July 6th, 2020.

On July 10th, the Chetywnd RCMP were advised that an abandoned boat was found in the Moberly Lake area. Investigation revealed it was in fact the Williston Ranger.

It appears this crime was planned out, and the boat was taken to an area that it was able to be completely stripped, stated Cpl Rob Gardner, Hudson’s Hope RCMP Detachment Commander.

The Hudson’s Hope RCMP is requesting that if anyone has any information regarding this break and enter, theft and destruction of the Williston Ranger to please contact the Hudson’s Hope RCMP at 250-783-5241.
