Traffic stop leads to drug seizure

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit, CC CRU, observed a vehicle at a location known to be drug nexus in the city. The vehicle was associated to previous drug files, including a drug trafficking investigation in Chilliwack.
Police observed the vehicle make a couple of short duration stops and after the second stop, police detained the occupants in relation to a trafficking investigation.
During the search of the vehicle and the occupants, police located 480 grams of suspected fentanyl were located.
All parties were later released as the investigation continues.
