West Shore RCMP Frontline officers were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision on September 17 at approximately 2:00 a.m.

Vehicle crashes into tree line

The driver and the sole occupant of the vehicle, is identified as a 27-year-old woman who was exhibiting symptoms of alcohol intoxication. She provided a sample of her breath and police determined her blood alcohol level was over the legal limit. She was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition under the Motor Vehicle Act and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

The driver did not sustain any major injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution due to the collision.

We want to thank the witness for calling police right away. It is remarkable that no one was seriously injured in this collision, said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.
