File # 2023-5847
In February 2023, the West Shore RCMP Drug and Organized Crime Unit conducted enforcement on several suspects involved in a drug trafficking operation.
The unit was investigating reports of drug trafficking in the West Shore which lead them to uncovering a large quantity of drugs and money along with a stick of dynamite.
Drug and Organized Crime Unit officers executed two search warrants for residences in Langford and Victoria with assistance from the Greater Victoria and RCMP Emergency Response Teams, the Victoria Police Department and Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.
The drugs, money and explosive device seized in this investigation has significantly impacted the drug trade in the West Shore. Hundreds of lives would have been affected and possibly lost to the overdose crisis by the sale of these drugs. We are thankful to the other agencies who assisted in this investigation,
said Cpl. Kevin Pollock, West Shore RCMP Drug and Organized Crime Unit.
