Police investigating a string of thefts and mischief

West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a string of thefts from vehicles and mischief to property.
As of January 1st 2023, West Shore RCMP have had multiple reports of theft from vehicles and mischief to property in Metchosin and Langford.
West Shore RCMP have received at least 12 reports in total of this nature. Eight of which involved theft from motor vehicles and 4 reports of damage to personal property. Several of the complaints described seeing a male suspect with a similar description. One of the complaints was able to capture a photo of the suspect via home surveillance that was taken on January 7th at approximately 2:30 a.m.

- Male suspect;
- Light to medium skin color;
- Wearing a green colored or Camo patterned jacket with white logo on upper left side, black pants, white runners;
- Large bright green face cloth covering bottom half of his face.
