Several youths arrested for verbal altercation turned stabbing

The West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a report of an assault causing bodily harm and an aggravated assault that took place on the Galloping Goose near the 3000 block of Jacklin Rd on October 28th approximately 9:50 p.m.

Officers responded to the area and learned that a group of 10-15 youths ages 14-17 years old were hanging out together when a verbal altercation took place between two male youths. One of the males was walking away when he was taken to the ground and assaulted by at least three male youths, as a result he suffered a broken nose and abrasions. In the process of the assault, one of the main aggressors was stabbed by another youth who was at the scene.

Police have identified the youth responsible for the stabbing and he has been arrested for aggravated assault. One other youth was arrested for assault causing bodily harm with regards to causing injury to the victim in this file.

This investigation is on-going and police are still looking to identify the other youths involved in the assault causing bodily harm. We are asking the youths who witnessed this incident and have not yet spoken to police, to please come forward and provide their information, said Cpl.
