Woman charged following weekend stabbing in Whalley

A woman has been charged in a weekend stabbing that sent a female victim to hospital.
On September 8, 2024 at 2:16 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a possible pedestrian struck in the area of 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard. When officers arrived on scene, they located a woman with stab wounds and determined she had not been struck by a vehicle as initially reported.
The victim was transported to hospital where she remains with life-threatening injuries.
A female suspect was immediately arrested nearby and taken into police custody.
Surrey RCMP General Investigation Section assumed conduct of this investigation and believe this to be a targeted incident. On September 8, 2024, 36-year-old Jennifer Kipp was charged with the following offences:
- Assault with a weapon
- Aggravated assault
Jennifer Kipp has been remanded until her next court appearance. As this matter is now before the courts, no additional details will be released.
