Structure Fire with Serious Injuries

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene following a report of a structure fire in the 14800 block of 75a avenue.

At approximately 3:54 p.m. this afternoon, Surrey RCMP received a report from Surrey Fire Service of a structure fire in the 14800-block of 75A Avenue.

Upon police attendance the residence was fully engulfed, and was being contained by Fire crews on scene. One male was located with minor injuries, and another with serious injuries, and both have been transported to local hospitals for medical care.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, initial indications suggest it was accidental, however investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Officers are still on scene conducting interviews and neighborhood canvassing. Fire crews are also on scene ensuring the fire is fully extinguished. It is expected that traffic in the area will be disrupted for some time.
